CPS Explanation

"CPS" is an abbreviation for "Championships-Points-Seasons".

For example, the Dallas Cowboys have won five championships in 48 Seasons. Since the total number of teams in the NFL during those five championship seasons is 140, the Cowboys have earned 140 Points. The CPS for the Cowboys is thus 5 championships for 140 points divided by 48 seasons, or 5/140/48.

The Cowboys score is 2.92, the result of dividing 140 by 48.
